Hey guys! It's been a little while since my last blog post as I've been a bit busy but I hope you're all well and having a great summer! I thought I'd share with you my favourite beauty products from this month...

No7 Skin Illuminator

I don't know if it's just me but I find a lot of skin illuminators out there can sometimes be way too glowy and look so unnatural. However this skin illuminator by No7 has just the right amount of sheen to it and leaves your skin looking super healthy and radiant. I've been wearing this a lot recently under my foundation or a bb cream and it just adds a lovely natural glow. It feels really hydrating on the skin and looks natural enough for you to wear it on its own if you're feeling like having a make-up free day. I wouldn't recommend this if you're after an intense highlight as it is quite subtle, but if you want to try something that just makes your skin look more healthy and radiant then this is a fab product to try.

Revlon Ultra HD Lip Colour (shade 710, HD Desert)

I picked this up as I get very dry lips so I love lipsticks which have some added moisture. These lipsticks feel amazing on the lips, I've been using this non stop since I got it. They feel just as nourishing as a lip balm, but the pigmentation of the colour is as good as a lipstick. The shade I've been loving is '710, Desert', which is a very wearable rosy-nude shade, it looks like your lips but better. These are reasonably priced at £7.99 and always on some sort of offer so I'd definitely recommend checking these out if you fancy trying something new. I can't wait to try some other colours in this range.

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Eye Shadow Palette

I don't even know where to start with this because I just looove this palette so much. This is the Dolce Vita palette which consists of gorgeous copper and bronze shades. This palette is a dream to apply, the eye shadows are really pigmented and they have a buttery consistency which makes them so easy to blend.

I would say if you struggle with knowing how to apply eyeshadow and find the big palettes quite daunting then you can't go wrong with these quads as all the colours work together seamlessly and you're still able to experiment with different looks. The shades are colour coded on the back of the palette - shade 1 is the prime shade, shade 2 is enhance, shade 3 is smoke, and shade 4 is pop.

The shades are gorgeous and have everything I need to take it from a daytime look through to the evening.

My day to evening look -

In the day time I will wear the champagne prime shade all over the lid, then I will blend shade 2 (enhance) into my crease and the outer corners of my eyes.
Then if I want to take this into a more evening look, I'll create a bit of a smokey eye by adding some of the smoke shade in the outer corners and along my lash line, and depending on the look I'm going for I might add some of the glitter pop shade on my lid.

This is a pricey palette at £39, but it is also one I find myself reaching for the most as the shades are so wearable and they stay put all day!

Ecotools Eye Enhancing Duo Brush Set

I just want to mention how great these brushes are, they make doing your eyeshadow so quick and easy because they're double ended so you literally get 4 brush heads on 2 brushes. These are literally a lazy girls essential to doing your eye shadow, and they're only £6.99 for the two! AND they're ridiculously soft. Amazing.

Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber

From the Jo Malone website - " A fragrance with a burst of bergamot, distinct to Earl Grey, and the cool succulence of crunchy cucumber. Counterpoised with a sweet base of beeswax, vanilla and musk. "

I love Jo Malone fragrances and this is one of my absolute favourites. This scent is so lovely and fresh, it has been my go-to fragrance during this beautiful summer weather we've been having. I only wish they did the same scent in their home fragrance products or in their bath/body range, its such a perfect fragrance I need it in more please!

I have quite oily skin and I occasionally suffer with bad breakouts, so finding a product that calms my angry skin down is wonderful and a rare find. The Loreal pure clay purity mask has been working wonders for my oily skin lately so I thought I'd share a little review with you.

There are 3 different L’Oréal pure clay masks to choose from. These are all designed for different skin types and to target different problem areas. They can either be used alone or used together in different parts of the face. The 3 masks are -

Purity Mask - A purifying mask containing eucalyptus extract, designed to mattify the skin and purify pores, targeted at oily skin types.

Detox Mask - This mask contains charcoal designed to detoxify and purify the skin and draw out impurities.

Glow mask - This is an exfoliating mask containing red algae extract to brighten your skin. The glow mask is designed to brighten dull complexions.

As my skin can be very oily I chose the green purifying mask. When I put it on it smells so refreshing and is very soothing against my skin. The consistency is quite thick but it feels very cooling and refreshing to apply. As it starts to dry it becomes very tight and you are pretty much unable to make any sort of facial expression. However once I've washed it all off, I notice such a difference in my skin. My skin feels super clean, my pores have virtually vanished, and any redness I have seems to have calmed right down. It instantly mattifies my skin and when I use this regularly I notice a huge improvement in my oily skin.

I love the way they have catered for different problem areas and how you can switch these up according to your skins needs by using the different masks in different areas of your face. These are very affordable at £7.99 and you get loads of applications out of the pot.

Anyone who suffers with oily skin I would definitely recommend giving this face mask a go!

I'm a total fangirl of the Max Factor creme puff blushers, so when I found out they were expanding their range and introducing bronzers I couldn't wait to try them. These are baked mineral powders with multi-tonal shades which are designed to suit a number of skin tones. The formula claims to be ultra-blendable and leaves a streak-free finish. There are currently only 2 shades, '05 Light Gold', and '10 Bronze'. To be honest I was expecting a better shade range from these but the multi-tonal shades supposedly work well with different skin tones, so I have been testing both shades to see how they work with my fair-medium skin.

My first opinions of these were that they looked beauuuutiful. The marbled finish looks amazing, and reminded me of the much more expensive Hourglass ambient lighting bronzers.

'05 - Light Bronze'

This shade is a light bronze colour which has a subtle bit of shimmer marbled through it. This shade works really well with my fair to medium skin as it gives a subtle bronze glow which can be easily built up to my desired look. I find this a really flattering shade and would be well suited to fair skin, although I'm not sure if it would be too subtle on darker skin tones.

'10 - Bronze'

This shade is much more coppery than 'Light Bronze' and I would say it has a lot more shimmer running through it. From looking at it in the pan I didn't think I would get on as well with this shade, I thought it might be too dark and have too much shimmer. However, these bronzers blend so easily that it doesn't look harsh or patchy in the slightest and just leaves a really natural looking sun-kissed glow on the skin.

Verdict

I am loving these bronzers right now. They are so lovely to use, they blend so easily and give you a natural finish with no harsh lines or streaky patches. I wasn't expecting to get on with both shades as they are very different, but they have both worked really well against my light-medium skin tone. Some people may be wary of the amount of shimmer in the products, as I was, however I don't feel they come across shimmery on your skin, I can't detect any shimmer once its on my skin but instead my skin just looks more glowy.

These are priced at £9.99 and I think these could definitely rival more high end bronzers out there.

Loreal True Match Liquid Glow Illuminator (Icy Glow)

I love the true match foundation so I thought I'd try some more from the true match range and see how I got on. There are only two shades of this highlighter, 'Golden Glow' and 'Icy Glow', Golden Glow is a very bronzey shade, whereas Icy Glow is a pearlescent icy shade. Icy Glow seemed like the best match for my skin tone and I've been really enjoying using it. It instantly gives me really glowy skin and lasts all day. It is a very versatile product as it says it can be used as a primer, mixed in with foundation, or as a highlighter. I've only tried this as a highlighter but it will be interesting to see how well it works in other ways. It has 30ml of product inside which is the same as your standard foundation size. It is priced at £6.99 which I would say is very good considering the amount of product you get.

No7 Bronzer (Golden Sand)

I have pretty much been using this bronzer every day since I got it. For those who hate bronzers that are too dark or orange and just want a subtle glow then I would definitely recommend checking this out. It blends so easily as the powder is so silky and soft, making it so easy to apply. This shade is perfect for fair skin tones as its so natural looking, but it does come in two other shades for darker complexions. Oh and theres no shimmer! 🎉🎉 This is priced at £12.50, which is a bit more on the pricey side for a drugstore product, but it is really good quality and I've been loving it.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (05 Lovely Pink)

Now onto Max Factors creme puff blush....I LOVE these! These are baked multi-tonal blushers with a marbled finish. The shade pictured is 05 Lovely Pink which is a combination of a baby pink and a subtle gold shimmer. This is actually my second purchase of this shade, I find that when I put this on it makes me look so much more healthy and gives a natural glow to my cheeks. Although in the pan they look shimmery, I find that once applied on the skin they just give a healthy radiant glow. The formula is finely milled making it easy to blend and can be easily built up to how intense you want the colour to be. This is one of their more subtle shades so it would be well suited to fairer complexions, but they have 6 shades in total and are priced at £8.99.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil (shade 03 red berry)

My lips have been suffering a bit lately and this has been a little saviour. It feels so so lovely and hydrating and I'm just obsessed. You can get this without any colour in it but personally I love this tinted version as it gives me a teeny flush of colour. My concern was that it was going to feel sticky like a lip gloss but it doesn't at all, it just feels so comfortable to wear and so different to any other lip balm I've tried. Anyone wanting to try a new lip balm which is a bit more luxurious I would recommend checking this one out.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara

I'm quite picky when it comes to mascaras and when I find one I like I tend to stick to it. However I had the opportunity to try the Smokey Eye mascara by Bobbi Brown. I have to say I wasn't expecting to like it as I normally prefer the rubber/silicone style mascara wands, Rollerlash by Benefit is normally my fave, however I have to say I am really impressed by this mascara. It gives my lashes a lot of length and volume but leaves them still looking quite soft and fluttery. It also feels really comfortable to wear, it feels like I haven't got much on which is lovely.

So I decided to treat myself recently with a few goodies from the Charlotte Tilbury site. I ended up ordering Legendary brows, which is a brow gel that I have been dying to try since it came out, and also two more matte revolution lipsticks, because...well... I'm a little obsessed and my will power when it comes to online shopping is terrible. I absolutely love trying Charlotte Tilbury products so I thought it'd be fun/useful if I did a little review on the products I picked up.

Legendary Brows

I was super excited to finally get my hands on Legendary Brows as it just looked completely different to any other brow gel I've tried. I've found that a lot of other brow gel products either have a brush which is far too big, or that too much product comes out at once. However, Charlotte Tilbury is a total perfectionist when she designs her products and she has got this just right. It has a reaaaally teeny tiny brush which neatly combs through your brows and dispenses just the right amount of product. I have tried using this by itself and also with other products and I've found it to work both ways. When I used this by itself I was actually amazed at how well it filled in my brows. Normally brow gels will just generally thicken my brows but this actually helped fill in any gaps I had in a really natural subtle way. If I'm having a good brow day then I would definitely feel confident enough to wear this by itself, or if I wanted some extra definition I would use this in conjunction with a pencil or powder.

Matte Revolution Lipsticks

The two matte revolution lipsticks I went for were 'Amazing Grace' and 'Pillow Talk'. I absolutely love the matte revolution formula of Charlotte Tilbury's lipsticks, they feel so comfortable on the lips, not at all drying, and the colour pay off is amazing.

'Amazing Grace'

I've been eyeing up 'Amazing Grace' for a while now as it just looked like such a beautiful shade. it is described on the website as a vintage tea rose which I would definitely agree with. I love the colour, it's a gorgeous vibrant pink/coral without being too bright. I feel like this shade would suit so many skin tones as it just looks so lovely and fresh.

'Pillow Talk'

The famous Pillow Talk shade, which was originally only available as a lip cheat lip liner, has now been brought out in lipstick form (yay!). I was SO excited to try this as I looove the lip liner and every time I used it I was always thinking to myself 'why is there not a lipstick of this?!'. Pillow Talk is the most gorgeous nude-y pink colour which would suit every skin tone. It is what I would call a 'your lips but better' shade, and you really can cheat your way to a fuller lip with this. I would really recommend checking this out if your passing a Charlotte Tilbury counter as it's so so flattering and I'm getting so much wear out of it.

So there we go, once again Charlotte Tilbury never fails to disappoint! Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts?

Last Sunday me and my family did something that we don't do often enough, which is to go on a walk. We decided to have a look around Marks Hall Gardens, it's so beautiful and peaceful there, and the display of snowdrops they have right now is gorgeous. In a world that's so busy and fast paced, I think it's good to take a little time out and slow down. I often find myself most content when I'm exploring with a camera in hand, and every time afterwards I tell myself I should do it more often. I thought I'd share a few pics from the walk below.

Don't you just love it when you find products that just work for you? As much as I love trying new beauty products I also love it when I find something that just works perfectly for me. Here's a roundup of the products that I have been reaching for constantly lately and have easily become my current favourites...

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

I had a sample of this product and I loved it so much I knew I had to buy the full size as soon as I ran out. I have been using this daily morning and night, and since then my skin has been a lot clearer and less prone to break outs. It leaves your skin feeling so clean and refreshed without being dry, and it smells amazing too!

Benefit Rollerlash Mascara

This is by far one of my favourite mascaras. I love to try out different mascaras but this is one I always end up going back to. I have a slight fear of eyelash curlers (pathetic, I know), so any sort of mascara that helps to lift my lashes I just love! This curved brush definitely does the trick for me, it catches every little lash and makes them look so long without ever looking clumpy. I'd say this mascara is more for length rather than volume so bare that in mind if you prefer a thicker lash look, but this is great for making your lashes look super long.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

I have been using this for a while now and I can't even explain how much I love it. My skin has been so different since introducing this serum into my skincare routine, I used to suffer with quite bad skin but it is now so much clearer and brighter. It has not only stopped my very frequent breakouts, but it has also helped with any redness or dry patches I had, my skin has just been so much healthier since using this. I feel like if I ever have any problem areas this just helps calm everything down. I'd say the name 'repair serum' is very fitting because that is exactly how I would describe it, it's quite pricey but has made such a big difference to my skin.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Since a NYX stand has come to one of my local Boots stores, I'm slowly getting to try more of their products. I'd heard such good things about their soft matte lip creams so I decided to pick one up in the shade 19 'Cannes'. This is such a wearable shade and I have found myself reaching for this so often. Unlike a lot of matte lip products, it doesn't feel dry when you apply it, you don't find yourself dragging it across your lips but instead it feels really creamy and velvety, and then dries looking super matte. I've never found it to go patchy or weird-looking throughout the day but wears really nicely and can be easily reapplied. Overall really impressed, and they are only £5.50! Will definitely be picking up more of these.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

I recently picked up the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in the shade 'Light Neutral'. I have been really enjoying using this, it gives such good coverage but doesn't feel heavy at all. It has a flat sided doe foot applicator which I find picks up the perfect amount of product. I find this great for the under eye area and for any redness I want to cover. I don't find it settles in to fine lines and wears really nicely throughout the day. It has been my go-to concealer lately.

I couldn't help myself when I saw the latest Hourglass palette, which has the new surreal light shade running through it. I was desperate to get the previous Hourglass palette they brought out but unfortunately I wasn't quick enough for that one, so when this got released I knew I just had to have it. I mean how beautiful does this look?!

The Hourglass ambient lighting powders are formulated with photo-luminescent technology to leave your skin with a natural looking glow and a soft focus effect. Unlike other finishing powders, the Hourglass powders are all universal and you choose your shade depending on the type of light/mood you want to create, these range from Diffused Light to Radiant Light. Personally I love the concept but I think this makes choosing the one that you're after quite tricky, especially if you don't have a counter nearby. This is actually my first ever product by Hourglass, I have always wanted to try their powders because of all the rave reviews they get but they're so pricey and I was always undecided on which one to go for. So when I saw this palette, I was like why not, I thought if I didn't get on with the finishing powder, then I'd still have a bronzer, blushers and highlighter to try out. Yippee.

Verdict

For starters I think the marble effect packaging looks super cool and really on trend, when I looked at the pictures online I was a bit unsure, but seeing it for real I reaaally love it. It doesn't look cheap at all, although it is plastic it feels really solid and looks quite high end.

The sizes of the powders weren't actually as small as I was expecting, I've read a lot of complaints about them being so small, so I had it in my head they were going to be really really tiny so that was a relief. In terms of value for money I'm pretty sure the full size powders are by far the better option, but I went for this because I thought having the variety of powders to try out would be a great starter option for me.

The setting powder Surreal Light, which is the largest in the palette, feels really lightweight on the skin and leaves a subtle glow. It applies really nicely, it doesn't sink into pores or imperfections or look cakey in any way. I was worried it would look a bit sparkly but it doesn't at all, the finish still looks very natural. In a bit of a dream world I think I had very high expectations for this and was somehow expecting instantly amazing glowing skin (keep dreaming Grace). Although I love the soft focus finish and subtle glow this powder leaves on the skin, I'm still quite keen to try another finishing powder in their range which perhaps gives a more intense glow.

The two blushers in this palette, Surreal Glow and Surreal Effect, are gorgeous. Surreal glow is great if you're after just a natural hint of colour to your cheeks, and surreal effect is a lovely pink/peachy blush. These are both winners for me, the colours are beautiful and leave a healthy glow to the skin. And if they didn't look amazing enough by themselves you could also layer them for more amazingness. I definitely need more of these blushers in my life now.

I've never tried a baked bronzer before so I was very excited to try Surreal Bronze Light. This bronzer gives a lovely sun-kissed look to the skin which instantly adds warmth. This is a tad warmer than the bronzers I normally go for so I have to be careful not to get carried away when applying it. But it's so blendable that you can easily apply as little or as much as you want to create your desired look.

Surreal Strobe Light is the highlighter included in the palette. This highlighting powder has very warm undertones to it, its almost like a peachy/champagne colour. Normally this wouldn't be my highlighter shade of choice, BUT when wearing the other products from this palette, I think it goes perfectly. If you want to create a full on glowy look from this palette then this highlighter would totally complete the look.

My final impressions are that I LOVE this palette. It's so beautiful, and it has made me want to purchase so many other Hourglass products *apologises to bank card in advance*. As much as I love the products individually, one of my favourite things about the palette is how well the products all work together seamlessly.

Recently I treated myself to some Charlotte Tilbury goodies, two of which were these gorgeous lipsticks. The two shades I went for were 'Bitch Perfect' and 'Miranda May'. I've never tried her lipsticks before so being a complete lipstick fanatic and a lover of all things Tilbury, I was SO excited to try these. Just like with all of her products, her packaging is always spot on. I mean how stunning do they look!? The rose gold finish is so beautiful and makes you want to have them on display rather than shoved in your make up bag. I love how passionate Charlotte Tilbury is over her range of products, she takes so much care into making sure every aspect is exactly as she wants them.

Bitch Perfect

The first colour, 'Bitch Perfect', is from her K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick collection. This range of lipsticks claim to glide over the lips effortlessly and leave a luminous finish. The shade 'Bitch Perfect' is what I'd call a gorgeous pinky nude. Usually I struggle with finding nude shades that suit me but I'm pretty sure this colour would suit most people as it's not too pink but not completely nude either. The texture and application is good, although sometimes I do find it isn't very forgiving on any dry patches I have. I would love to try more colours from this range and see how they compare. This is such a pretty colour and I love the subtle sheen it leaves on the lips, I think I'll definitely be getting a lot of wear out of this shade.

Miranda May

The second colour I purchased is 'Miranda May' from Charlotte's Hot Lips collection which consists of 16 lipsticks inspired by influential celebrity women. This particular shade has been created in collaboration with Miranda Kerr and I'd say it is a perfect match for Miranda's signature fresh make up look. It is a gorgeous coral pink colour which looks stunning on the lips. If you're after a bright lipstick but don't want anything too bright then this is perfect as it gives just the right amount of colour without being too much. Unlike 'Bitch Perfect', this lipstick is in her matte formula which I must say I love even more. Firstly, I love the precision angled tip that these lipsticks have, it makes them so easy to apply. And secondly, I love love love the formula of these. For a matte lipstick they are so so creamy and feel really velvety on the lips whilst still looking matte. I can't wait to try more from this Hot Lips collection - I love the look of all of them!

Out of the two ranges I would definitely be more inclined to repurchase lipsticks in the matte formula as I just love the texture and finish these give. But overall I'm so happy with both of these I love love love them!

L'Oréal True Match Foundation

This foundation is one of my favourite bases for everyday wear. As I have oily skin I have tried maaany different foundations trying to find ones that actually wear well on my skin and don't break me out. My main go to is Estée Lauder Double Wear (that stuff has some serious staying power), but when I'm after something that feels lighter with a bit more of a glow, I head straight for my True Match. I love how it makes your skin look healthy and radiant but still gives you a good coverage that doesn't feel heavy. I'd say it is a medium coverage but can easily be built up to a higher coverage if you need to. The staying power is pretty good on my skin, lasting me a full working day as long as I pair it with a good primer. The great thing about this foundation is that it has a huge shade range for a drugstore product. It groups the shades into cool, neutral and warm undertones to help find your perfect match. It currently has whopping 23 shades which I believe they are still working to expand. Overall a great everyday foundation.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This is a very very popular concealer and I'd definitely say it is worth the hype. It is super affordable at only about £4ish and the coverage is amazing. I like to use this over any blemishes or redness I have and then use something a bit lighter under the eye area. This is for sure one of the best full coverage concealers I've tried, and great for anyone on a budget.

L'Oréal Super Liner (Black Lacquer, Waterproof)

I wear liquid liner on most days and I have tried numerous different brands of liner, and this L'Oréal one is by far the best I've tried. It is super jet black, easy to apply, and literally does not budge all day. Since trying this liner I have never gone back to anything else. It is my all time favourite so please never discontinue this L'Oréal!!
NYX Micro Brow Pencil

Since I've been getting HD brows I have become a little obsessed with eyebrows and eyebrow products. I now realise it's really important to look after your brows, they can really frame the face and change your entire look. This eyebrow pencil has become my go to for my brows. The pencil is very fine and has a precise tip which makes filling in your brows a hell of a lot easier, and on the other side of the pencil is a handy spoolie. The pencil has a twist applicator which means no faffing about trying to find a pencil sharpener. From what I've heard this product is a great dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz, so if you're planning on splurging on that then I'd definitely recommend giving this a go first.

No7 Moisture Drench Lipsticks

Something which I feel deserves some hype in the beauty blogging world is the No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick range. Now, I love lipsticks, like seriously I can't stop buying them. And the No7 ones are definitely some of the best I've tried, including more high end brands. I love these because they are so moisturising on my lips, never leaving my lips looking dry, yet they are long lasting and super pigmented. The shade selection is great, although maybe lacking in the nude colours, but overall I love these. I have tried a collection of different shades and I have never been disappointed with them. They are on more of the expensive side for the drugstore at £9.95 each but not too bad if there's a £3 off voucher going which Boots do fairly regularly.
